The ring features Cartier's ingenious Fingermate hinged shank, an innovative expandable mechanism designed to pass comfortably over the knuckle before closing securely for an exceptional fit. Signed Cartier, Fingermate, PT950, and accompanied by its serial number, the ring dates to approximately 1990–2010, when Cartier incorporated this patented system into select designs. It wears beautifully as either a men's or women's ring.
