Edwardian ring centering an approx. 0.40 carat old European-cut diamond with a pair of approx. 0.40 carat total. In a calibré-cut sapphire surround, in a single-cut diamond surround of approx. 0.50 carat. Millegrain platinum and 18k yellow gold. Center: 18.6 x 14.7mm, band: 1.5 - 2.3mm. Circa 1915.
We love how design takes precedence here. The use of a tapering line of center diamonds instead of one larger diamond, plays with the ring's symmetry.
Diamond and gold mining has caused devastation in areas such as Africa, wreaking havoc on delicate ecosystems and communities. Choosing to go vintage, you are eliminating the need for more mining and lessening the demand for new diamonds.
