Late Edwardian ring set with an oval-cut sapphire weighing approximately 0.90 carats, within a fancy-cut sapphire and old mine-cut diamond scallop edged surround. Set in platinum and yellow gold. Circa 1915.
This ring is unique and desirable for a lot of great reasons! The sapphire speaks for itself, but the added delicate scallop frame says everything.
Diamond and gold mining has caused devastation in areas such as Africa, wreaking havoc on delicate ecosystems and communities. Choosing to go vintage, you are eliminating the need for more mining and lessening the demand for new diamonds.
