Antique Georgian diamond ring set with an oval cluster of rose cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.75 carats total, set in silver and 14k gold. Circa 1830.
Diamonds backed with metal are typical of early 19th century jewelry. They allowed the rose-cuts to bounce more sparkle in the candle light. A beautiful piece of history.
