This Italian Mid-Century bombé ring is a sculptural study in contrast, utilizing a pronounced domed form popular from the late 1940s-1950s. Constructed in 18 karat yellow gold (verified by the Italian assay mark), the mounting is cleanly divided into two distinct hemispheres. One side features round brilliant-cut diamonds set in a contrasting white metal to maximize their luminosity. The opposing side is pave-set with intense rubies, secured by yellow gold prongs that emphasize their color. This design fuses the geometric style of the preceding Art Deco period with the robust volume central to the Mid-Century aesthetic.
