Antique Victorian five stone ring centering an old mine cut diamond weighing approximately .80 carat, and flanked by two graduating diamonds on either side for an estimated total of 1.50 carats, and additional tiny rose cut diamond accents. Made in 18k yellow gold, with delicate scrollwork on the gallery and shoulders.
In the Victorian era, diamonds were typically worn at night. These chunky old mines with big facets were cut by candlelight. The open back allows more light to pass through.
