Art Moderne platinum bombé ring, circa 1938, flush set with a 0.90 carat natural old European cut diamond, graded I–J color and VS1 clarity. The diamond is flanked by channel-set square step cut natural blue sapphires weighing approximately 0.50 carats, heat treated. The tapered platinum band bears the hand-engraved inscription “L.A.P. JR. from ‘NANNY’ 6-13-38.” A streamlined, minimalist design characteristic of the late Art Deco and early Moderne periods.
