  • WHY WE LOVE IT
This exquisite ring is a unique find and an excellent example of a well-crafted cluster. Its gorgeous center emerald boasts equally stunning and dimensionally heavy old-cut diamonds. While we only acquire untreated gemstones, like rubies and sapphires, we have different expectations for treatments to improve an emerald’s color and clarity. Treatment can be a natural oil or synthetic resin, and its application varies in the amount used. Often, a gemological lab will test for the amount of oil or resin used, which will help assess the gem’s value. All of the notable labs work with the same or similar oil-level designations, which are none, insignificant, and/or minor, moderate, and significant. For our standards, we acquire emeralds resulting in no-oil, insignificant, or minor treatment. But When we set our eyes on this jewel’s striking color, regardless of its moderate treatment, we knew we stumbled upon something special. In person, you would be awe-stricken. We’ll never forget this piece of treasure.
